Principal Dancer

Monica Perego began dancing at the age of seven
at "Immagine Danza" Milan.

In 1990 Monica won First Price at the "Benetton Dance Competition" which was a scholarship to the "Royal Ballet School".

The year later she was offered her first contract with Birmingham Royal Ballet and in 1992 Monica joined English National Ballet where she was made "Principal Dancer" in 1997.

Her repertoire includes most of the classics like "Swan Lake", "The Sleeping Beauty", "Giselle", "Romeo & Juliet", "The Nutcracker", "Cinderella", "Don Quixote", "Who Cares?" and many others. In 2002 she becomes freelance, since then she danced as Guest Star with K-Ballet, The Royal Swedish Operan, Tokyo City Ballet, Shanghai Ballet, Balletto di Roma, Balletto di Puglia, Balletto del Sud.

Monica has also participated in many Galas like: "50th Wings Birthday Gala" in memory of Diana Princess of Wales, "Festival of Genzano" in Rome, "Spoleto Festival" in Spoleto, "Birthday Offering" in Homage to HRH the Princess Margaret, "Dame Beryl's Evening", "Stars of English National Ballet" in Spain and so on, dancing with Irek Mukhamedov, Patrick Armand, Thomas Edur, Giuseppe Picone and many others.

Recently she danced with Roberto Bolle in "Bolle & Friend" in Alessandria.
Monica was given the "Leonida Massine Award" in Positano for "Best Classical Dancer 1999" and "La Ginestra D'oro Award " for "International Dancer 2003"
Monica took part on the dancing scene in the new Oliver Stone's movie "Alexander"
and she participated in many National Italian TV programmes.
